Azzurra Sartini-Rideout
Azzurra Sartini-Rideout is currently a full-time research assistant in Dr. Kochanska's Child Lab. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Iowa in May 2024 with highest distinction. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Criminology and a certificate in Resilience and Trauma-informed Perspectives. Azzurra is interested in how temperament and the parent-child dyad influence child development regarding externalizing behaviors and developmental psychopathology. She hopes to eventually attend graduate school for clinical psychology or clinical with a developmental psychology subtrack. Azzurra is a volunteer at Inside Out Reentry Community, where she has a caseload of individuals with whom she regularly communicates regarding their journey of healing during and after incarceration. In her free time, she enjoys reading a lot of books, hanging out with friends, spending time with her dog Sandy, randomly learning about the medicinal benefits of local plants, and going for long walks.
