Katherine Jonas completed her doctorate at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at University of Iowa, graduating with a degree in Clinical Psychology in 2017.  She is now an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University Department of Psychiatry, where she studies methods of improving the measurement of psychopathology.  She has applied this work in the areas of personality development and assessment, developmental psychopathology, cognitive assessment, and schizophrenia.  Aside from science, her interests lie in all forms of art and adventure.
