Biography

Lilly Bendel-Stenzel is a Ph.D. candidate in developmental psychopathology at the University of Iowa under the supervision of Dr. Grazyna Kochanska. She began her graduate studies in 2020. She received her B.A. from the University of St. Catherine in Psychology (major) and Women’s Studies (minor). She also worked as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development and the Minnesota Center for Eating Disorders Research. 

Lilly’s research interests include examining the role of parent-child attachment relationships in children’s socioemotional development, particularly the development of self-regulation. When she’s not in the lab, she loves to read, bake, play video games, and box.
